Manages the service department of Custom Automation Company, and spare parts teams, and handles customer service interactions, reports, and repairs.
Helps team in installations, tear down of custom automated machines, provides the highest level of customer service, and maintains strong relationships with customers and third-party vendors.
Manages the day-to-day responsibilities of the spare parts sales administration, spare parts technical, and spare parts pricing teams in order to achieve team technik goals, objectives, overall distributor, and customer support.
This position reports to the Director of Operations of teamtechnik Corporation.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES
- Collaborate with a global service team throughout teamtechnik, coordinating and planning for full service projects and executions.
- Works with Manufacturing and Purchasing team closely and understand project requirements. Delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the progress of current projects, and managing service team members to ensure the team's objectives, sales goals are met and good customer relationships.
- Performing as a ‘Working Manager’ by assisting the teams with completing the necessary projects or tasks.
- Resolving service problems and improving service methods to increase the service productivity and customer service.
- Maintaining a strong working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, ensuring the company's adherence to these regulations, and remaining current on the industry's standards and new innovations, materials, tools, and processes.
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day responsibilities of Spare parts team.
- Establish inventory, sales and operating budgets for the spare parts function in support of company business objectives.
- Oversees the negotiation costs with suppliers to receive the best discount structure possible.
- Maintains a business acumen for the supplier market conditions to determine availability of automated material. As applicable creates recovery plans for supplier issues.
- Reviews contracts, purchase orders and invoices.
- Manages the Direct Spare Parts shipments to logistics.
- Design, develop and promote parts and service marketing initiatives in order to increase sales;
- Evaluate any pricing complaints, analyze industry competitive pricing as it relates to the part, determine if adjustments need to be made to prevent lost sales and remain competitive.
EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Competencies of at least 8 years of experience in automation with an understanding in machine assembly and Controls systems for industrial automation.
- This includes hands-on experience in programming and troubleshooting with current PLC hardware and programming software.
- Experience of at least 2 years of management experience.
- Ability to travel at least 40% both locally and internationally.
- Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to lead or work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team are essential.
