Allianz Industrie 4.0 Award for Digital Twins

The specialist for the automation of assembly and test lines was honored with the WINNER Award as part of the STARTUP THE FUTURE event from Allianz Industrie 4.0 Baden-Württemberg network for its “outstanding individual solutions” for digitalization. With its digital twin technology, teamtechnik enables machines and production systems to be virtually commissioned during the engineering process. As a result, assembly and test processes can be tested and optimized before installation.

teamtechnik can fully map machines and production systems virtually, including all components – with a digital twin. The virtual map simulates the geometry, tools and processes of the production process. Director of Engineering Alex März from teamtechnik: In addition to saving time and money, we can identify and resolve faults ahead of time with this technology. Digital twins also help with engineering. After all, a digital twin improves the transparency of production system functions, which in turn significantly minimizes project risks.”

For a virtual twin, the CAD model of a machine and its components are prepared in a simulation tool and completed with physical motion. Next, the simulation model is paired with control software. The necessary adjustments and extensions of the Siemens NX MCD software are carried out in close collaboration with the consultants at the d.u.h. Group. The technology company from Bielefeld is an authorized solution partner of Siemens Digital Industries Software GmbH.

“Together, we are raising the bar in terms of digital twins. Thanks to the expertise of the d.u.h. Group, the specific requirements of our projects can be perfectly fulfilled,” said Alex März.
